EU releases external power supply ERP update regulations EU 2019/1782

On October 25, 2019, the European Commission officially issued the ErP Update Regulation (EU) 2019/1782 for External Power Supplies, which aims to replace the current ErP Regulation (EC) No 278/2009. The new regulations will be enforced from April 1, 2020.

Product Range:
Increase multi-channel voltage output external power supply.
Not applicable to the following products:
a) Voltage converter
b) Uninterruptible power supply
c) Battery charger without power supply function
d) Lighting converter
e) External power supply for medical equipment
f) POE combiner
g) An external power supply that was only put on the market as a service part or spare part before April 1, 2025, and is intended to replace the same type of external power supply that was put on the market before April 1, 2020. And on the service parts / spare parts, or on their packaging, clearly indicate "external power supply is only used as spare parts" and what kind of products are expected to be used.
