What is C-Tick certification

C-Tick certification is an Australian EMC certification project. In addition to safety labels, electronic and electrical products should also have the EMC mark, that is, the C-Tick mark. The purpose is to protect the resources of the radio frequency band. Before applying for the C-Tick mark, The test must be conducted in accordance with the relevant CISPR standards, endorsed by the Australian importer & submitted by the report, the Australian ACA accepts it uniformly and issues the registration number.

The necessity of C-Tick certification

C-Tick certification Australia compulsory certification, general products are required to do C-Tick certification, which is equivalent to the product quality approval certificate. Only after the certification is done, the product meets the requirements, can it enter the market and be accepted, and the sales will be better.

C-Tick certified product type

According to the mandatory EMC product catalog issued by the government in 2001, the main products involved are:

Industry, technology, medical equipment, audio-visual equipment;

Household appliances

Electric tools and heating appliances;

Lighting and similar equipment;

Information technology equipment;

 

C-Tick Issuing Agency

Endorsed & submitted by the Australian importer, the Australian ACA accepts them uniformly and issues registration numbers.

 

C-Tick process

1. The manufacturer or agent makes an initial oral or written application to the certification company.

2. The applicant fills out the application form, and sends the application form, product manual and technical documents to the certification company (if necessary, the application company is required to provide a prototype).

3. The certification company draws up a plan and quotes.

4. The applicant confirms the quotation, signs back the quotation, and sends the samples and related technical documents to the certification company.

5. The applicant provides technical documents.

6. The certification company issues a charging notice to the applicant, and the applicant prepays the certification fee based on the charging notice.

7. The certification company reviews the technical documents and organizes related certification activities.

8. If the technical documents are incomplete or the prescribed language is not used, the certification company will notify the applicant of the improvement.

9. If the test fails, the certification company will notify the applicant in time and decide whether to suspend the project according to the situation, allowing the applicant to improve the product. Applicants should modify the technical information in the original application to reflect the actual situation after the change.

10. For the rectification costs involved in Articles 9 and 10 of this page, the certification company will issue a supplementary charge notice to the applicant.

11. The applicant shall pay the rectification fee according to the supplementary charge notice.

12. The certification company provides the applicant with a test report or technical document.

13. The Australian importer endorses & submits the report to apply for the registration number to the Australian ACA.

Only EMI needs to test conduction, CLICK sound, magnetic field radiation or space radiation

C-Tick certification time period and validity period

Period: 1-2 weeks; Validity period: no time limit (the standard expires and needs to be updated)
