Overview of ERP Certification

ErP = energy-related Products. Means any that has been placed on the market and/or has been delivered for use,

And products that have an impact on energy consumption during their use. It includes components of energy-related products covered by the ErP directive, which are marketed and/or delivered for end-users as separate components, and which should be able to be independently assessed for environmental impact.

The ErP directive is the new European CE mark regulation. As a CE mark directive, the requirements of the ErP directive will be implemented in conjunction with other requirements such as safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility, radio, etc



Use method of ERP authentication

The Erp directive falls under the CE mark requirement. If the product put into the European market falls under the CE mark, the CE mark shall be carried.

Does energy Star accreditation mark ErP compliance? Not at all. Energy Star is a US certification mark and therefore cannot be used as proof of compliance with the EU directive. The only mark that can be used as a proof of conformity is the European EColabel.
