Development process of the latest EU ROHS directive：

    The standard, which has been formally implemented since July 1, 2006, is mainly used to regulate materials and process standards for electronic and electrical products to make them more conducive to human health and environmental protection.
    On July 1, 2011, the EU issued a new RoHS directive, Directive 2011/65/EU, in the Official Gazette (OJ). European RoHS 2011/65/EU requires 6 items to be tested, and the directive comes into effect as RoHS directive.
    RoHS test items include Pb, Pb, Cd, Hg, Cr6+, PBDE, PBB.
As for DIBP, BBP,DBP,DEHP and other projects, the directive only mentions whether to be included in the control of priority evaluation in the follow-up, and does not mandate manufacturers to carry out testing.
    On July 22, 2019, ROHS2.0 and ROHS are required to test 10 items in a comprehensive way. The technical indicators of regulations are as follows:

The Rohs directive covers electronic and electrical products listed in the catalog below AC1000V and DC1500:
  1). Large household appliances: refrigerators, washing machines, microwave ovens, air conditioners, etc.;
  2). Small household appliances: vacuum cleaners, electric irons, hair dryers, ovens, clocks, etc.;
  3). IT and communication equipment: computers, fax machines, telephones, mobile phones, etc.;
  4). Civilian devices: radios, televisions, video recorders, musical instruments, etc.;
  5). Lighting appliances: fluorescent lamps other than household lighting, lighting control devices;
  6). Power tools: electric drill, lathe, welding, sprayer, etc. (except for large industrial tools that need to be installed);
  7). Toys/entertainment and sports equipment: electric vehicles, video game consoles;
  8). Medical equipment: radiation therapy equipment, electrocardiogram test equipment, analysis equipment, etc.;
  9). Monitoring/control equipment: smoke detectors, thermostats, factory monitoring and control machines, etc.;
  10). Vending machine;
Among them, the RoHS Directive does not apply to Articles 8 and 9. The above are within the scope of NTEK business.

Preparation of RoHS testing and certification materials：

  1) Only heavy metal detection: solid needs to provide about 5-10g, liquid needs to provide 5-10mL;
  2). Only brominated flame retardant test: solids need to provide about 10-20g, liquids need to provide 10-20mL;
  3). Carry out heavy metal organic pollutant detection: provide about 20-30g samples;
  4). Perform other organic pollutant detection: provide about 30g of sample;
  5). For the samples that only detect the coating (coating) part, the approximate weight of the material part of the coating (coating) must be indicated; if the weight of the coating (coating) part does not meet the requirement of sample delivery, the coating must be provided (Coating) raw materials.

RoHS inspection factory inspection：

No factory inspection is required, but in general RoHS will require a one-year validity period. In fact, the RoHS test report itself is only based on the analysis of the product. As long as your product material, production process and process remain unchanged, the test report can be valid for a long time.

Implementation of ROHS in different countries
All countries in the world adopt RoHS standard according to IEC62321 standard
The new European RoHS certification directive for CE/RoHS is 2011/65/EU.
European CE-ROHS is a mandatory part of CE.
China RoHS certification is voluntary.
RoHS certification is voluntary and CPSC is mandatory.
Japanese RoHS is a voluntary test.
